About Sarnia de la MaréI am a musician, composer, and educator working primarily with cello, piano, viola, and double bass.
My teaching grows from long-form practice rather than quick fixes.
I believe the best instruction slowly makes itself unnecessary — guiding you toward confident, self-directed musical practice.
Continuum was created for learners of all ages and backgrounds, especially those who once felt fear, interruption,
or the sense that they had “missed their chance.” Instead of correcting those feelings,
we begin earlier: with deep listening, orientation, and gentle familiarity.
I see music as a landscape, not a ladder.
I value continuity over acceleration.
I treat composing as a central part of learning, not a distant reward.
This space is intentionally quiet, cumulative, and open-ended.
There are no targets here.
No competitions.
